Infant circumcision is a surgical procedure to remove the foreskin, the tissue covering the head of the penis. It is one of the most common surgical procedures performed on male infants. Is Circumcision Safe?
I perform infant circumcision for children up to 4 weeks old using a Gomco clamp. The Gomco clamp is a bell-shaped device that is placed over the glans of the penis. The foreskin is then pulled over the bell and secured with a clamp. The excess foreskin is then removed with a scalpel. The Gomco clamp is a safe and effective method of circumcision.
